NEW FEATURE: Ask the President!

NEW FEATURE: Ask the President!

Hi Friend! Welcome to the Advent Fellowship Community. I trust the community and this feature will represent another of your 'larger-than-life' experiences with us.

This Forum has been created so you can have an opportunity to "Ask the President!!!" about anything Spiritual, Social, or even general.

Being the President of Advent Fellowship has been a very rewarding experience. There have been more than dull moments as I am taught by God that His favour is more precious than anything else. I constantly reaffirm my position that the Fellowship must be a real and comfortable “home away from home”, an oasis in the desert lands of our University communities.

On this journey, God reveals constantly that His leaders must be like Caleb and Joshua-men of vision and hope who were persistent and not overtaken by the burdens. We must stand in the gap for the people we lead, even when standing in the gap means making sacrifices and missing out on much of the fun from time to time. I draw your attention to the book of Galatians chapter 6, a passage that was re-brought to my attention this week by a friend and Adfel member. Humbled by its contents I am led to introduce a new feature I have thought about for sometime now- “Ask the President”. Ask the President what? Do you have questions, concerns about your spiritual, physical or social life? Do you have burdens that weigh you down and just need an encouraging word?

Well we all have burdens and we each other’s help. I am no expert on these issues but with a team of advisors, an effort will be made to provide focused advice and feedback to the many questions you may ask.

Let us restore each other in the spirit of meekness. Let us bear one another’s burdens….Let us communicate with each other and glory in the Cross of Christ.

Share your questions, comments or feedback here on the website or in the offering plate or suggestion box on Friday evenings and let us reason together.

Don’t be afraid to “Ask the President”.

Right here! Right now!
